Sandustry Field Index
A reaction-first index of materials, factory systems and field reports. Read the handling notes before copying the build — one wrong matter type can jam an entire line.
Every dossier starts with the physical constraint: matter type, density, transport and transformation. The index then routes operators to a dedicated database rather than scrolling them through one long page.
Operator priority
- Stage 1: learn material states and reactions.
- Stage 2: separate transport lanes by matter type.
- Stage 3: validate inputs, outputs and overflow.
4 profiles
Sandustry Materials
Field profiles for the matter that makes every factory work: how it moves, what changes it, and which transport assumptions will fail under load.
Material
Water
The factory's most important liquid — used to wet sand and seeds, make steam, freeze routes, and keep late-game production alive.
Material
Lava
A hot liquid that refuses ordinary transport. Freeze it, break it into Cinder, move the solid, then reignite it where heat is needed.
Material
Amethelis
A drifting Wisp material harvested from Flowers. Dry the petals, burn them into Florin gas, and control every side draft on the route.
Material
Copper
A deeper underground solid and the bridge into electrical production. Find the brown ore veins, bring the right tool, and protect the output route.
2 systems
Factory Systems
Repeatable production architecture for Sandustry. Each system documents its inputs, operating sequence, failure states and the conditions that make it worth building.
Factory System
Blueprint Protocol
Copy factory modules without copying their mistakes. Audit inputs, states, throughput, safety shutoffs and overflow before deployment.
Factory System
Renewable Water Loop
Design a sustainable reservoir around Lumlings, rainfall recovery and safe overflow instead of relying on one finite cave pool.
2 guides
Sandustry Guides
Long-form field reports for exploration, Artifact recovery and puzzle rooms — written around transferable clues instead of brittle coordinates.
Field Guide
Artifact Rooms
Recognise deliberate cave architecture, read the blocking material, and recover the reward without wasting time on fixed coordinates.
Field Guide
Puzzle Doctrine
Solve Artifact puzzles by reading the room's shape, material clue and permitted tool instead of reproducing somebody else's tunnel.
